The Family Album...
...consists of three main sections.

When you click on "List", or "Writing", or "Photos", you will see a listing of items. The lists can be manipulated in different ways to help you find what you are looking for. You can choose to view a list of all items or to view a list of items in a specific category. After you have selected a listing, you can also display the list in different ways by using the sort function. Depending on your selection, the items will be sorted in either chronological or alphanumerical order.
Each item in the list is linked to another page consisting of more details about the item
Editors...
...are family members who have access to the Administration Panel, allowing them to add photos or written material to this web site. To learn how to become an editor click on the "CONTRIBUTE" button to the left.
Image formats
The only image format our system allows is JPG.
Uploading
You can only upload after you Log In as an Editor. Once you've reached the Admin menu, click on "Add New Photo" to upload a photograph. A window will pop up asking you to specify what file to upload. Type the full path of the file into the text box, or click the "Browse ..." button to locate it. If it displays an error, click on the "back" link and try again. Once it has confirmed your upload, close the upload window. The main browser window will now display a form asking for details on the photo. Once you've filled out the necessary forms, click "insert" to finish adding the photo. You can edit the photo details by finding it in the "My Photos" list and clicking "edit".
To add to the Writing section, click on "Add Submission" in the Admin menu. This will bring up a form asking for details on the submission. There are several ways you can submit your writing. If it is elsewhere on the web, you can paste a URL into the "Web Page Link" field. If it is short, and plain text, you can paste it directly into the "Text" field. Otherwise, you can click the "upload files" link and upload related files. For each file you upload, you must type the name of the file into a "File Name" field.
Discussion...
...is like a bulletin board or answering machine on which you can leave a message, only it's a bit more interactive. You can start a new topic of discussion or ask a question by clicking on "start a new thread," or post an answer or reply to another family member's discussion topic by clicking on the discussion topic and clicking "post reply".
